Play offs?????

So what is the point of team playoffs. Is it for only teams that are tied. Or just the 1st place team of all the divisions or is it the top three teams in one division????

tied team playoffs are over. the playoffs are for the top 2 teams in each division then all the divisions play each other. It makes up a tournament of 16 plus there may be 4 3rd team place teams allowed to play in the playoffs. The playoffs are to determine out of all the divisions which teams are the best. So, an A-1 team may play a D-1 team and so on. The playoffs are a double elimination tournament. To find out who you play first you will need to be at the captains meeting tonight at the Tartan. Jarrod nailed it. It is the top 16 teams with representatives from all of the divisions. There are playoff trophies (team & individual), too. So, i.e., if a C2 team wins the overall playoffs, they are League Champions. Just because a team wins A1 doesn't make them the champion. They have to win the playoffs.

With respect to the Captains' Meeting, you would have picked up your Playoff Packet with locations and times of the matches and pulled a pea for your spot. Captains should attend the meetings to stay on top of league activity.

Your team, Stingers D1 plays at Sports Page on 10/29/09 @ 7:00 p.m. Warm ups @ 6:00. You'll be provided a Playoff Packet at the site, prior to your match to get you up to date. There's not a lot to it but it is very helpful.
