The capt. picked up the ball and put it back where he thought it was and gave me the cue ball. My team said the ball stays and the capt said it is put back. we didn't see this clearly in the rules and he put the back into the middle of the table. What is correct? Opponents and spectators should be seated or standing still (out of the shooter's view) and give the shooter the courtesy of allowing him/her to prepare and focus for the next shot. Calling out to the shooter or making comments (good or bad) about his/her game to anyone while he is shooting is sharking. Yelling, "Great shot!" can interrupt a shooter.
